Broadlands got its start in 1972 and has been at the forefront of the Jersey real estate market for 5 decades. In fact, our CEO Roger Trower has trained the top dozen agents on the island!

Meet the team

Roger Trower

Roger Trower

CEO

Roger is the owner of Broadlands and has been part of the company since 1982. His knowledge of all aspects of the local property scene is extensive and his invaluable experience has grown Broadlands into the trusted organisation it is today.

Roger oversees the negotiators and ensures they remain motivated in taking the best possible care of our clients and applicants through every step of the sales process. He is particularly knowledgeable of the upper market and can offer sound advice to incoming wealthy immigrants.

Outside of Broadlands, Roger loves to watch the Jersey rugby team as well as golfing and cycling with his wife.

Harry Trower

Harry Trower

Director

Harry has been with Broadlands for 15 years and has extensive knowledge of the real estate market in Jersey.

Known for being friendly and approachable, Harry is responsible for running the office and liaising with negotiators and other directors to build strong, supportive company relationships. Harry also takes charge of all marketing activities.

Harry is a strong negotiator in all areas of Jersey real estate. He’s developed a speciality for £2M+ properties and has a knack (and the contacts) for locating developments of apartments that Broadlands can then connect with the perfect tenants.

When he’s not running things at Broadlands, Harry enjoys surfing and anything else outdoors and near the ocean.

Nick Trower

Nick Trower

Director

Nick studied BSc Business in Property at the University of the West of England and graduated in 2008. During and after completing his degree, Nick worked at Knight Frank in London and Birmingham before moving back to Jersey in 2009. He then started working with BNP Paribas Real Estate whilst playing rugby for Jersey at a semi-professional level.

He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer in 2012. When BNP Paribas Real Estate was subject to a management buy-out in 2017, Nick became Head of Agency at the newly named D2 Real Estate.

Nick is now heading up the Commercial Department at Broadlands. He has built up a large client base and prides himself on his market knowledge and honest approach.

Outside of work, Nick is a keen sportsman who enjoys surfing, rugby, and cricket. He also spends a lot of his time running around after his young son.

Erica Zonta

Erica Zonta

Director

Born and raised in Jersey, Erica was educated at Jersey College for Girls. She studied and worked in law before following her heart and jumping to real estate, after accompanying her father at many viewings from the age of 10.

In 1999, Erica joined Broadlands and promptly progressed the company into the computerised world. Erica has a real passion and drive for property sales and thrives on the entire process. Around the office, she’s known for being a busy ball of energy and a favourite with the customers. Erica knows how to hustle and get things done!

When she’s not selling properties, Erica loves spending time with her 2 children, husband, family, and friends. She can often be found enjoying the ocean surrounding Jersey and is a proud member of the Royal Channel Island Yacht Club.

Nigel Hurst

Nigel has been with Broadlands for over 20 years. He is active in all areas of the marketplace but specialises particularly in high-value property and clients, matching the two together with amazing precision and foresight. When working with clients, Nigel is known for his honest and pragmatic approach.

His extensive knowledge and contacts have been instrumental in Broadlands’ success and continue to make him a valuable negotiator in the local market.

Nigel also enjoys spending time with his three grown-up children, fast cars, cycling, snow skiing, and travelling.

Don Miller

Don Miller

Residential & Commercial Negotiator

Don joined Broadlands in 2009 and is a versatile member of our team, covering all areas of the market including residential, commercial, and rental properties on the Island.

A highly experienced negotiator, Don has sold everything from Big Macs - from his time as the Island's first McDonald's Franchisee - to hotels and lodging houses. He has been responsible for marketing many top brands locally including M&S, Coca Cola, Nissan and Jersey Pearl.

Before Broadlands, he held senior management positions at the Jersey Evening Post, ITV Channel Television, and Le Riches Stores (now Sandpiper). His career has helped him build and hone strong communication skills, plus develop a reputation for being highly analytical and patient throughout the negotiating process. In fact he's known for not giving up and getting transactions over the line, regardless of how complicated they may be, when others have failed. He also finds innovative ways to make chains work.

In his spare time, Don enjoys travelling, dining out, watching sports, films, and music. He's also a season ticket holder at Tottenham Hotspur.

Andrew Cruickshank

Andrew Cruickshank

Residential Negotiator

Andy is in his tenth year as a residential property negotiator with Broadlands and has become very well established, utilising his extensive network of contacts he built up over decades working in sales. He was handpicked and trained by Broadlands and now offers strong experience in a wide variety of residential markets.

In the real estate industry and especially in Jersey, Andy is known and respected for his attention to detail, impressive people skills, and ability to keep a consistent dialogue between client, lawyer, and purchaser throughout the entire transactional process from start to finish.

When not selling houses, Andy pursues his love of all things maritime-based and most recently has been excited to learn how to ‘Wing Foil’, which allows him to take the fullest advantage of Jersey’s beautiful surrounding ocean.

Joanna Brown

Joanna joined Broadlands in 2015, she grew up in Jersey and now lives in St. Clement. As a lifelong resident, she’s always had a keen interest in the Jersey property market and prides herself on her warm and personable approach, with real empathy for the client or applicant’s needs. Joanna knows the importance of keeping good communication with both the vendor and purchaser from acceptance of offer right through to completion.

In her spare time, Joanna has renovated her current home with her husband, where she utilises her passion for interior design.

Allison Gale

Allison Gale

Residential Negotiator

Allison joined Broadlands in 2015 and has been in the property industry since 2003. As a negotiator, Allison is known for being efficient, highly motivated, and friendly, which allows her to seamlessly guide our customers through the property buying process without breaking a sweat.

The Jersey property market also allows Allison to exercise her keen interest in modern architecture and interiors. She’s always happy to share ideas and contacts to ensure that our customers (and her coworkers!) love their space. A mother of two children, Allison loves to spend her spare time exploring the island on her family’s electric bikes.

Doug Littlechild

Doug Littlechild

Residential Negotiator

Doug is Jersey-born and went to school at De La Salle College. He then carried on his education at the University of Brighton in England.

Doug has worked in sales since 2003 and became an estate agent in 2007. In 2015, Doug joined Broadlands where he concentrates on all parts of the market, and excels in all areas in Jersey real estate. In particular, Doug enjoys working with first-time buyers and guiding them through the transaction process.

Outside of work, Doug enjoys his home and family life with his wife, Melanie, he has 3 grown-up sons, and enjoys relaxing in his garden, or working out in his gym, or seeing to his growing list of pets. He also enjoys travelling, especially to warm locales or to large cities (especially London) for the museums and theatre.

Tony Cottle

Tony Cottle

Residential Negotiator

After completing his two year tenure at La Moye Golf club as Captain, Tony has joined Broadlands to pursue a passion in house sales. After living on the Island for many years and developing properties of his own, he brings a wealth of local knowledge and expertise to the role. Tony, well known on the Island for his years in the Prestige vehicle market has a reputation for his friendly approach and dedication to long term relationships. Married to Amanda, they have two adult children, and enjoy gardening, walking their dog and fine wines. Tony still plays lots of golf at La Moye in his spare time.

Charlie Smith

Charlie Smith

Residential Negotiator

Born and raised in New Zealand to a Jersey family, Charlie returned to the island over 10 years ago and enjoys every moment of living here. Before joining Broadlands, she and her partner, an architectural designer, fully renovated five homes in five years.

Charlie combines her considerable communication and relationship management skills with her vast knowledge of the Jersey property market to assist vendors and purchasers in a clear and approachable manner. Charlie expertly guides customers through any sale or purchase and is particularly adept at matching people up with their dream home.

When she isn’t supporting customers in the property buying process, Charlie is a valuable member of an all-female rowing team here on Jersey.

James Cumming

James Cumming

Jersey born, James was educated at Victoria College and studied Business at Southampton University. James has always had a real passion for sales and has 15+ years’ experience in a variety of sales driven roles in the UK.

James returned to Jersey to pursue his interests in property and has worked in the residential market for 6+ years now. During this time, James has widely developed his knowledge and expertise in the industry and has a wealth of experience across the market, from first time buyers to £3m+ properties.

James is extremely professional, dependable, and efficient. With his approachable and charming personality, James naturally puts his clients at ease throughout the transactional journey. Whether he’s dealing with a purchaser, vendor, or lawyer, James is a great listener and always goes the extra mile for his clients.

Outside of work, James enjoys exploring new countries, cultures, and cuisines with his wife Hayley. In his spare time, James loves football, skiing, poker, cars and walking his black Labrador Bentley. 

Peter Ridgway

Peter Ridgway has lived in Jersey since 1961 and ran his own successful local estate agency from 1983 – 1990 before selling out to an International Insurance company. In 1997 Peter joined Broadlands as a Negotiator & specialises in both Commercial Property & mid to upper market residential sales, especially in the East of the Island. When not working Peter is a keen sportsman and enjoys golf, tennis & boating.

Matthias Genetzke

Matthias Genetzke

Marketing Manager
In his role as Broadlands’ Marketing Manager Matt relies on years of experience to focus on the various aspects of digital marketing, as well as the strategic side of things. Alongside Ana he provides invaluable support to the team, by running our daily JEP advertising and a multitude of other digital platforms. Best of all – Matt loves a bit of problem solving and analytics, and is as efficient as you’d expect (him being German). He’s also a volunteer with the RNLI and when not at Broadlands HQ he enjoys spending time with the fam, a bit of gardening, foraging, boating and all other things ocean related.
Ana Sequeira

Ana Sequeira

Administration and Marketing Officer
Ana is responsible for providing administrative support, developing and maintaining our social media accounts and other digital platforms. Educated in Jersey, Ana has a background in sales and has extensive administrative experience in both retail and finance industries. Ana enjoys walking her Golden Retriever with her husband and they have just completed a renovation of their home. Her interests include travelling to remote destinations, snowboarding to less remote destinations, watercolour painting and she loves cooking and eating……Japanese food.
